Computer Skills Training and Take-Home Computer System
Upon completion of the PC Essentials class, students will receive a take home computer system including the following:

• Pentium IV processor
• 90-day warranty and help desk support
• Microsoft XP Professional and Microsoft Office 2003 software programs.  The Office 2003 includes:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
• Free Juno Internet access where available

PC Essentials Course Outline

• The set-up and use of a computer system
• Mouse and keyboard use
• Operation of windows
• Run programs in Windows
• Set-up and utilize email
• Basic internet skills
• Virus prevention and tips

PC Essentials Course Objectives
This 3 hour hands-on course teaches basic computer skills by setting up and utilizing individual internet and email accounts giving students the necessary skills to surf the Internet.  Students will learn how to participate in on-line distance learning training courses as well.

PC Essentials Pre-Requisites
This class is directed toward users at the level wanting to gain the knowledge and skills of utilizing email and the internet.  There are no pre-requisites for this course.
